Description of Works:
This development, located close to Edinburgh City Centre, comprised the construction of two semi-detached 4/5 bedroom dwellings arranged over three storeys. A unique new build development of timber frame townhouses with living areas/ kitchen on the lower floor and bedrooms on the upper floors.
The building has ashlar stone and off-white smooth render external facades, aluminium windows and doors and quartz zinc window surrounds and includes parking and electric vehicles spaces with gardens to the rear.
Saunders provided Project Monitoring services for the Funder of this interesting scheme. We worked closely with the project team ensuring the works were managed correctly and that valuations undertaken were reviewed on site prior to certification.
Challenges: Logistically the site was challenging due as its irregular construction technique and the tight town centre restrictions imposed by the site.
